Question by tax_question: Can I contribute to individual roth ira and 401k roth ira at the same time ?
I’ve contributed the maximum allowed for the 401k roth ira ($ 15500). Can I contribute another ($ 4500-$ 5500?) to an individual roth ira account? Or any other individual ira account in the same year?

Yes, I think the roth ira contribution is 4000. There is an income limit, so as long as you don’t make more than the limit you can

I have two different IRA accounts with over 5K in each one. Is it possible for me to withdraw $5K from each account or should I consolidate them first then withdraw $10K ?

I’m finally able to quit my job because I’m fully vested in the stock option plan. The amount of money it’s worth, assuming the $4000 annual investment limit on IRAs, would fund several of them. How many of the things can I have at once?

I’m nowhere near retirement age, so forget an annuity.

My main goal is to cash out some of the money so I can pay off a bunch of my debt and make my first house purchase more affordable. If there’s any other method to do so without incuring a bunch of penalities, I’d be happy to hear them.

Could someone please help me solving this question?

“The IRAS instrument has a field of view of 1 degree. What is the minimum time it takes IRAS to map the total sky, neglecting the yearly variation of the angle between sun vector and equatorial plane?”

I have two questions about my employer retirement 401k contributions.
1. The maximum I can put in is $15,500 for 2007. But I started in mid year. Is it prorated from the time I started? Example: I started on July 1, is the contribution $15,500/2 = $7,750.
2. My employer matching is 2:1 up to a maximum of 6% of salary. Example: $50,000 annual salary, employer contribution is $3,000. For every dollar I put in, they will put in $0.50. Is the employer matching of $3,000 included in the $15,500 which means the employee total amount invested is $12,500, or, is it $15,500 from employee plus $3,000 from employer which would equal $18,500. I think it’s the former but just want to check.
Thanks….
