Most often times Roth IRA’s are self-directed, since this is AFTER tax money you are playing with.
Pretty much all the same… just look at the maintenece and trade fees and pick the lower one.. such as Schwab or Etrade…
A Roth IRA is just a type of retirement account – there is only one Roth IRA. You can open one with whatever type of custodian you wish – banks, mutual fund companies, brokerages. It all depends on what you want to invest in.
